The Al Bastakiya quarter in Dubai- as the most important coherent and almost undisturbed monument of Bastak architects- has been simultaneously constructed during mass emigration of Iranian Bastak merchants and their habitations in Dubai since 1890. Although some parts of it were destroyed in 1980, the surveys of the residential quarter would reflect more comprehensive recognition of Bastak architecture from different aspects. The similarities between Dubai climate and Bandar Lengeh - as the very important commercial base of Bastakian in Iran- and also its relative similarity to Bastak resulted that the architecture remained almost unchangeable during such a transmission from Iran to Dubai. Moreover, from small details to most general parts of these houses introduce Bastak architecture clearly despite some differences in the case. The main question of this article is surveying the most important indicators of Bastak architecture in the spatial structure of Al Bastakiya houses of Dubai and comparing them. Firstly, it is achieved through analyzing history and climate and comparing the weathers of these regions. Then finding the similarities and differences of the materials of architecture and the spatial structure of Al Bastakiya houses and Bastak buildings is taken into consideration. However, it is not possible to consider and compare all architectural components and ornamentations of two regions in the article precisely. The main objective of the research is introducing Dubai Bastakiya houses and comparing them to Bastak ones in order to show the way of transmission of this style of architecture from Iran to Dubai .This comparative is done with emphasis on the materials and the relationship between form and space and introverted and extraverted samples of houses of these two regions. The method adopted here is Applied and the data collection for comparative study of buildings is based on different documentary field studies, interviewing with reliable references and different library documentation studies available in Bastak and Bastakiya. The most important finding of this research is that the indicators of Bastak architecture are reflected in Al Bastakiya houses but there are some differences such as visual diversities and more boldness in using Indian ornamentations and patterns.
